Free QR Code Generator
QR codes for links, Wi-Fi, email, phone and text. They never expire and show no ads when scanned.
Colors and options
Higher levels still scan when the code is scuffed or partly covered, but make it denser.
Test the code with your phone camera before printing it.
How to make a QR code
- Choose what the code should open: a link, Wi-Fi, an email, a phone call, an SMS or plain text.
- Fill in the details. The code updates as you type.
- Download it as PNG or SVG, and test it with your phone camera before printing.
QR codes that stay yours
Popular QR generators often create "dynamic" codes that send every scan through their servers. That lets them show ads to the people who scan, track them, and switch the code off when a free trial ends. Codes made here are static: the content is in the code, so they work forever, with no account, no tracking and no ads.
Ideas
- Restaurant and cafe menus, linking to a PDF or web page.
- Guest Wi-Fi at home, in a rental or in an office.
- Business cards and flyers, linking to your website or booking page.
- Event posters, product packaging and feedback forms.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
Never. The link or text is stored in the code itself, not on our server, so it keeps working forever, even if this site went away. Many QR sites make dynamic codes that point to their own server, then stop them working unless you pay.
Will people see ads when they scan it?
No. Scanning opens your link, Wi-Fi network or email directly. Nothing passes through this site, so there are no ads, redirects or tracking.
Is it free for business use?
Yes. Use the codes on menus, flyers, packaging, business cards and signs, without credit or a sign-up.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, and pick the security type (WPA works for almost all home routers). Guests scan the code with their camera to join without typing the password.
PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere, from documents to social posts. SVG stays perfectly sharp at any size, so it is best for print and for designers. For print, use at least 2 cm (0.8 in) across, and larger when people scan from further away.
Can I change the colors?
Yes, under Colors and options. Keep a dark code on a light background with strong contrast: light-on-dark and low-contrast codes fail on some phones. The tool warns you when the colors may not scan.
Can I edit the link after printing?
No. Because the content is inside the code, changing it means making and printing a new code. If you may need to change it, point the code at a page you control and update that page instead.
